Getting to know the artist
The Indie, Cambridge.
In the July edition of The Indie Magazine, Anne and Steve interview me, whilst out painting En Plein Air, in Cambridge, on "why be an artist?"
Paint Out - Cambridge is a "plein air" (a French term for "painting outdoors") painting competition, which came to Cambridge for the first time, this year.
My watercolour of Westcott House, Jesus Lane was given special mention, by the artist James Horton, and given an award. It took about two and half hours to complete the painting. East Anglian Landscapes - Group Exhibition
I'm very pleased to have been selected to have my work shown as part of this exhibition, featuring paintings influenced by this great and atmospheric region.
The inaugural exhibition of the Apex Gallery’s new annual ‘open’ winter exhibition featuring up to 200 images of regional landscapes by a host of artists using a variety of mediums, including paintings, prints, drawings, collages and photographs, all of which will be available to purchase. To accommodate this large number of works, the exhibition will be divided into two groups of around 100 works, changing over during the Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre.
